Ascorbic Acid, also known as Vitamin C, is a normal constituent of human skin,isconcentrated in the dermisepidermis.

Vitamin C has the ability to inhibit the activity of tyrosinase.X But Vitamin C is unstableeasily oxidized (change color ) when exposed to airlight. X Have difficulty in reaching dermis to function To overcome this effect, vitamin C derivatives (Mecacol® VCE ) have been introduced. Fatty-alkylfatty-acyl derivatives thereof are lipophilic ingredients.
